A reclaimed pair of yellow shoes
still good enough for daily wear:
my sunshine feet will chase the blues
within these reclaimed yellow shoes.
They dance when they hear happy news
and joy will make them skip a beat.
This reclaimed pair of yellow shoes
will follow goodness anywhere.

I am still working on my letter to poet poems, but Paper Poetry’s Poemorama is very delightfully distracting on a daily basis right now! Two projects at once? Yes.

Poemorama is Back!

The above poem is from day 8, and it’s a triolet, but if you want to know more than that well you’re just going to have to click on their link and take a look! I am suddenly smitten with this form, it being new to me, and have written two within a few minutes of sitting at the library on April 8th. There’s a guy three tables over with his head down, asleep. I think he could use some yellow shoes, don’t you?

I haven’t been writing for any publications this time around on Medium, but I might have to make an exception for Paper Poetry. I always write on paper, anyway. Who’s with me on that? Anybody else enjoy obsessing over notebooks and pencils and pens etc??
